Job summary

DAR AL RIYADH is seeking a senior architectural site supervisor to oversee the renovation and fit-out of a high-rise five-star hotel in Medina. You will inspect architectural and interior works, ensure compliance with drawings, specs, submittals, mockups, and hotel brand standards, and maintain daily inspection records.

Minimum 12 years of site supervision in luxury hospitality, strong finishes knowledge (marble, stone, drywall, ceilings), and fluency in English.

Qualifications

• Diploma or bachelor in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, Interior Construction, or related discipline.
• Strong ability to interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and schedules.
• Experience in luxury hospitality projects and site supervision.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily inspections of architectural and interior fit-out works for hotel renovation.
• Ensure works comply with drawings, specs, submittals, mockups and brand standards.
• Inspect finishes, drywall, ceilings, stone, marble, glazing, joinery and decorative elements.
• Verify layouts, joinery, paint, tolerances, and acoustic treatments.
• Coordinate inspections with architects, designers and contractor reps.
• Prepare punch lists and track defect rectifications.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct daily inspections of architectural and interior fit-out works for the renovation of a high-rise five-star hotel
• Ensure all works comply with approved drawings specifications material submittals mockups and hotel brand standards
• Inspect drywall partitions plastering screeds ceilings flooring wall finishes painting stone cladding glazing joinery and decorative finishes
• Verify marble and stone layouts pattern matching joint alignment colour consistency and installation quality
• Inspect guestrooms royal suites corridors lobbies dining venues prayer areas and other public spaces
• Review and respond to architectural Requests for Inspection with clear and accurate supporting records
• Verify surface levels alignments dimensions joint tolerances paint finishes joinery details and acoustic treatments
• Inspect doors frames ironmongery hardware acoustic seals and fire-rated door assemblies
• Confirm that approved materials are properly delivered stored protected and installed
• Coordinate inspections with the Senior Architect Senior Interior Designer Civil Inspector and contractor representatives
• Identify defective or non-compliant work and immediately report it to the Senior Architect or Senior Interior Designer
• Prepare punch lists and monitor the contractor s rectification and closure of defects
• Inspect the protection of completed finishes to prevent damage during ongoing construction
• Maintain daily inspection reports photographs test records and site observations
• Assist with snagging de-snagging final inspections and handover activities

Minimum Requirements

• Diploma or bachelor s degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, Interior Construction, or a related discipline.
• Valid Saudi Council of Engineers registration in the applicable Technician or Engineering category is mandatory.
• Minimum 12 years of architectural site supervision and inspection experience.
• Proven experience in five-star hotels, luxury hospitality fit-outs, or high-rise interior renovation projects.
• Strong knowledge of architectural finishes, drywall, ceilings, stone, marble, glazing, flooring, painting, joinery, and door systems.
• Excellent attention to finishing details, including pattern matching, joint alignment, paint sheen, surface quality, and joinery margins.
• Familiarity with acoustic detailing, fire-rated assemblies, waterproofing interfaces, and luxury hotel quality standards.
• Ability to interpret architectural and interior drawings, specifications, material schedules, method statements, and approved mockups.
• Previous experience working with an engineering consultancy or construction supervision consultant.
• Ability to prepare clear inspection reports, punch lists, photographic records, and non-compliance documentation.
• Experience in Madinah Central Area or similarly congested and sensitive locations is preferred.
• Good written and spoken English is required; Arabic is an advantage.
