Job summary

Parsons invites an experienced Material Engineer to manage testing, approval, and traceability of materials for airfield infrastructure in Riyadh. You will oversee lab and field testing, submittals, and supplier coordination to ensure compliance with specifications and international standards.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in construction materials engineering, with concrete, asphalt, aggregates, soils, and geosynthetics expertise. Airport/airfield project experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level civil/materials degree required with 8+ years in construction materials engineering and QC.
• Experience with concrete, asphalt, aggregates, soils, geosynthetics in airport/airfield projects preferred.
• Familiarity with material submittals, MARs/MIRs, ITPs, NCRs, RFIs, and lab reports.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings, specs, and acceptance criteria against standards to establish material criteria.
• Evaluate submittals, MARs, and technical documentation for project use.
• Verify products against designs, client requirements, and international standards.
• Coordinate sampling, testing, and field inspections per approved ITPs.
• Maintain material traceability from procurement through final acceptance.
• Coordinate with procurement, construction, QA/QC, and suppliers on material status.
• Support audits and maintain complete material records.
• Provide guidance on material selection, testing frequencies, and acceptance criteria.
