Job summary
A marine operations firm seeks a Barge Supervisor in Doha to oversee all activities on a marine barge, ensuring safety protocols and efficient operations. Candidates should have over 5 years of offshore experience and relevant maritime safety certifications. This is a crucial role for managing deck crews and maintaining operational continuity.

Responsibilities
- Supervise and train deck crews ensuring task efficiency.
- Oversee loading and monitoring of equipment and materials.
- Prepare daily reports on fuel consumption and crew tasks.
- Respond to emergencies to ensure safety and operational continuity.
- Coordinate maintenance staff for timely repairs and upgrades.
- Enforce safety protocols and conduct emergency drills.

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, train, and direct deck crews, including crane operators and roustabouts, ensuring tasks are assigned efficiently.
- Oversee loading, storage, and monitoring of consumables, equipment, and materials.
- Ensure the proper operation of the barge's spud system (winches), which is driven into the seabed to provide stability.
- Prepare daily reports for fuel consumption and crew duties with their completed and ongoing tasks.
- Respond to emergencies and manage immediate actions to ensure safety and operational continuity.
- Coordinate with maintenance staff for timely repairs and upgrades and maintain overall cleanliness and organization of the barge's deck.
- Enforce safety protocols, ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, and conduct or supervise emergency drills.
- Leadership: Ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of marine operations, including barge stability, rigging, and deck machinery.
- Maritime Experience: At least 5 years’ experience with Hands-on experience in offshore activities.
- Certifications: Hold maritime safety qualifications like STCW trainings and certificates.
