Job Description

The Database Administrator will be responsible for the administration of Oracle 10g/11g and Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2/2005. Key responsibilities include performance tuning and optimization, backups, restores, and recovery models, index management and optimization, PL-SQL and T-SQL Scripting, and SQL Server Database Replication.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline
• 3-4 years of experience in the Oracle and SQL Server Database administration area
• Minimum 2 years’ experience with Oracle 10g/ 11g, RMAN, Linux, preferred to have Exp. with Oracle Dataguard
• Minimum 2 years’ experience with SQL Server 2008 R2/2005, Windows Server 2008 R2, Log shipping, Database Replication

Preferences:

• Strong communication skills, both written and oral, with demonstrable ability to interact and influence at all levels within the organization
• Candidate should be a self-motivated, independent, detail oriented, responsible team-player
• Demonstrable experience of managing, owning and delivering high quality projects to objectives and within time scale with a high degree of accuracy
• Ability to make decisions based on Best Practices
• Ability to quickly adapt to a changing environment
• Ability to quickly learn new concepts and essential tools/software is necessary
• Sound working knowledge of application integration and testing
• Passionate about problem solving and troubleshooting
