Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced Procurement Officer for our Shipyard department. The role requires strong knowledge of Shipyard operations and the ability to source, negotiate, and manage service contracts.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end procurement processes for marine equipment, spare parts, consumables, and offshore vessel services.
- Source and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and maintain strong vendor relationships.
- Ensure timely supply of technical materials and critical services required for Shipyard projects, dry-docking and maintenance.
- Conduct market research to identify cost-saving opportunities, alternative suppliers, and emerging technologies.
- Handle RFQs, tenders, purchase orders, and contract management in line with company policies.
- Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with quality, HSE, and classification standards.
- Optimize procurement cycles while maintaining focus on budget control and timely delivery.
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and ERP (e.g., Oracle, ShipNet, AMOS) system entries.
- Support emergency procurement needs for all Shipyard related projects.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, or related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of procurement experience.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems (Oracle, ShipNet, AMOS, or similar).
- Strong negotiation, vendor management, and contract management skills.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, handle urgent requisitions, and meet tight deadlines.
Preferred Skills
- CIPS or equivalent certification in procurement/supply chain.
- Prior experience with strategic sourcing and e-auction platforms.
- Knowledge of logistics, customs clearance, and supply chain processes.
