Experimental Porto is opening La Compagnie Porto, a wine-focused venue, and is seeking a skilled sommelier to lead guest experiences with warmth and precision.

You will welcome guests, advise on our wine list and small plates, perform service to the highest standards, and collaborate with a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment, with opportunities for career development and mobility across our venues.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a similar role.
• Excellent professional appearance, dynamic and motivated.
• Strong organizational skills, teamwork and interpersonal abilities.
• Attentive to detail and guest-focused.
• Fluent Portuguese and English.
• Knowledge of Micros systems is a plus.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Organizing the setup of the service areas and dining room to standards.
• Welcoming guests with warmth, professionalism and attentiveness.
• Advising guests on the wine list and small plates menu.
• Performing service: presenting menus, taking orders, serving, clearing and resetting tables.
• Maintaining tables and service areas to high cleanliness and presentation.
• Following management’s aesthetic and service standards, grooming and setup.
