La Compagnie Porto, the latest addition to Experimental Porto, opens in Porto's historic city centre. Under the Head Sommelier, you will welcome guests, assist with wine pairings and recommendations, and ensure flawless service in a vibrant, wine-first setting.

We value hospitality, teamwork and a polished appearance. Applicants should be available for evenings, weekends and public holidays, with excellent English and Portuguese communication skills and a passion for wine and guest experience.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a similar role.
• Excellent professional appearance; dynamic and motivated.
• Strong organizational skills, work efficiently, team spirit, and interpersonal skills.
• Attentive to detail and guest-focused.
• Communicate easily in Portuguese and English.
• Knowledge of Micros systems is a plus.
• Available to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Organize the setup of the service areas and dining room.
• Welcome guests with a warm, professional and attentive attitude.
• Advise guests with your knowledge of the wine list and the small plates menu.
• Perform service according to professional standards: presenting menus, taking orders, serving food and beverages, clearing and resetting tables.
• Maintain your assigned tables and service area to the highest standards of cleanliness, organization and presentation.
• Follow and respect the aesthetic and service standards defined by management, including grooming and table setup.
