Experimental Porto is seeking a Head Sommelier to oversee the wine bar operation and support the restaurant wine team, ensuring an exceptional wine experience for guests. You will lead the floor during service and collaborate with the Executive Sommelier on designing the hotel wine menu.

You will train and develop the team, run regular tastings, and manage stock, purchases, and inventories, while delivering warm, precise hospitality in a fast-paced setting.

Qualificações

• Proven Head Sommelier experience in a high-end restaurant or bar.
• Knowledge of Portuguese and international wines.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to guide and develop a team during service.
• Fluency in Portuguese and English; additional languages a plus.
• Willing to work evenings, weekends and public holidays.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and supervise wine service across all guest experiences.
• Manage wine bar team on the floor during service.
• Support restaurant sommelier with wine service.
• Develop team knowledge through regular tastings and training.
• Maintain wine stock, inventories and supplier relationships.
• Collaborate with departments to ensure a seamless guest experience.
• Lead wine events such as tastings and wine dinners.
