Job summary

Experimental, opening La Compagnie Porto in Porto, seeks an experienced Sommelier to deliver an exceptional wine experience. You will guide guests, advise on wine selections, and manage cellar operations in a dynamic high-end setting.

You will work evenings and weekends, leveraging knowledge of Portuguese and English, and contribute to staff tastings and training sessions. This role offers growth across our European portfolio.

Qualifications

• Proof of experience as a Sommelier or similar role.
• Excellent professional appearance and motivation.
• Strong organizational and teamwork skills.
• Fluent in Portuguese and English.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and guide them to the right glass or bottle.
• Serve wines with care and share bottle/story details.
• Maintain knowledge of wine list and by-the-glass selection.
• Perform end-of-service tasks and keep bar/areas clean.
• Ensure proper storage and preservation of bottles and stock.
