Job summary

Nordex Mediterranean region in Portugal seeks a Field Service Technician to maintain wind turbines on site across assigned locations. You will perform repairs, routine inspections, and collaborate with service teams to ensure reliability.

The role requires travel, nights away from home, and willingness to work at heights. Basic electrical or mechanical education and English fluency are preferred; computer literacy with MS Office is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks related to maintenance and inspection of turbines.
• Analyse defects and coordinate with Service Coordinator.
• Carry out planned maintenance with subcontractors and record reports.
• Check stock and manage materials on site.
• Monitor service reports and guide the service process to book expenses correctly.

YOUR TASKS

• Keep all health & safety related instructions and guidelines
• Work safely for material and personnel
• Analyse defects with phone-contact to Service Coordinator.
• Autonomously simple repairs of turbines, troubleshooting and faultfinding.
• Carry out planned maintenance-/inspection-activities with subcontractors.
• Fill in reports and checklists in order to completely inform Local Operation Manager.
• Check inventory of spare parts stock and be responsible for material on site.
• Standard monitoring of booked service reports and steering of service process to book expenses correctly

YOUR PROFILE

• Electrical and/or mechanical education.
• Experience with hydraulic, electrical, or mechanical systems is valued, but it´s not mandatory.
• Teamwork, collaboration and willingness to take over responsibility.
• Willing to travel on regular basis, including nights away from home.
• Computer literate, able to use MS Office and in house database and workload management systems.
• Readiness for training.
• Able to work in high altitudes and to climb everyday some of our turbine.
• Good English language skills (read, write and speak fluently).
