Job summary

Nordex Group in Portugal is seeking a maintenance technician for wind turbines in the Leiria region. You will perform autonomous turbine repairs, planned maintenance with subcontractors, and material handling on site to ensure safe, efficient operations.

The role requires electrical and/or mechanical education, willingness to travel regularly, and strong English skills. You will join a team committed to sustainable energy and safety-first practices.

Qualifications

• Electrical and/or mechanical education is required.
• Good English language skills (read, write, speak).
• Willingness to travel regularly, including nights away from home.
• Computer literate; MS Office and in-house systems experience.
• Teamwork, collaboration and willingness to take over responsibility.
• Readiness for training and ability to work at height and climb turbines daily.

Responsibilities

• Keep all health & safety instructions and guidelines.
• Work safely with materials and for personnel on site.
• Analyze defects with phone contact to Service Coordinator.
• Autonomously perform simple repairs of turbines and troubleshoot faults.
• Carry out planned maintenance and inspection activities with subcontractors.
• Fill reports and checklists to inform Local Operation Manager.
• Check inventory of spare parts stock and manage on-site materials.
• Monitor booked service reports and steer service process to book expenses correctly.

YOUR TASKS

• Keep all health & safety related instructions and guidelines
• Work safely for material and personnel

YOUR PROFILE

• Electrical and/or mechanical education.
• Experience with hydraulic, electrical, or mechanical systems is valued, but it´s not mandatory.
• Teamwork, collaboration and willingness to take over responsibility.
• Willing to travel on regular basis, including nights away from home.
• Computer literate, able to use MS Office and in house database and workload management systems.
• Readiness for training.
• Able to work in high altitudes and to climb everyday some of our turbine.
• Good English language skills (read, write and speak fluently).
