Job summary

Nordex Group in Portugal is seeking an on-site maintenance technician to service wind turbines, perform autonomous repairs, and support planned maintenance activities with subcontractors.

You will work with electrical and mechanical systems, travel regularly, climb turbines, and communicate in English. A team spirit, safety mindset, and readiness to train are essential.

Qualifications

• Electrical and/or mechanical education is required.
• Experience with hydraulic, electrical, or mechanical systems valued but not mandatory.
• Willing to travel and work at heights on turbines.

Responsibilities

• Carry out autonomous repairs of turbines and faultfinding.
• Analyze defects and coordinate with Service Coordinator by phone.
• Perform planned maintenance and inspections with subcontractors.
• Fill reports and checklists to inform Local Operation Manager.
• Check spare parts inventory and manage on-site material.
• Monitor service reports and book expenses accordingly.
• Ensure health and safety guidelines are followed on site.

YOUR TASKS

• Keep all health & safety related instructions and guidelines
• Work safely for material and personnel
• Analyse defects with phone-contact to Service Coordinator.
• Autonomously simple repairs of turbines, troubleshooting and faultfinding.
• Carry out planned maintenance-/inspection-activities with subcontractors.
• Fill in reports and checklists in order to completely inform Local Operation Manager.
• Check inventory of spare parts stock and be responsible for material on site.
• Standard monitoring of booked service reports and steering of service process to book expenses correctly
  

YOUR PROFILE

• Electrical and/or mechanical education.
• Experience with hydraulic, electrical, or mechanical systems is valued, but it´s not mandatory.
• Teamwork, collaboration and willingness to take over responsibility.
• Willing to travel on regular basis, including nights away from home.
• Computer literate, able to use MS Office and in house database and workload management systems.
• Readiness for training.
• Able to work in high altitudes and to climb everyday some of our turbine.
• Good English language skills (read, write and speak fluently).
