Job summary

Nordex seeks a skilled technician to join our on-site team in Portugal, focusing on turbine maintenance and repairs. You will perform safe operations, analyze defects with coordinators, and carry out planned maintenance with subcontractors, while ensuring accurate reporting and inventory control.

You should have electrical and/or mechanical education, willingness to travel, and good English. This role requires teamwork, training readiness, and the ability to work at height and climb turbines.

Qualifications

• Electrical or mechanical education required.
• Experience with hydraulic, electrical or mechanical systems valued.
• Teamwork and willingness to take responsibility.
• Willing to travel regularly, including nights away from home.
• Computer literacy with MS Office and internal systems.
• Good English language skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain health and safety guidelines.
• Work safely with materials and personnel.
• Analyse defects via phone with Service Coordinator.
• Perform simple turbine repairs and troubleshooting.
• Conduct planned maintenance/inspection with subcontractors.
• Fill reports and checklists for the Local Operation Manager.
• Check spare parts inventory and material on site.
• Monitor service reports and manage service expenses.

YOUR TASKS

• Keep all health & safety related instructions and guidelines
• Work safely for material and personnel
• Analyse defects with phone-contact to Service Coordinator.
• Autonomously simple repairs of turbines, troubleshooting and faultfinding.
• Carry out planned maintenance-/inspection-activities with subcontractors.
• Fill in reports and checklists in order to completely inform Local Operation Manager.
• Check inventory of spare parts stock and be responsible for material on site.
• Standard monitoring of booked service reports and steering of service process to book expenses correctly

YOUR PROFILE

• Electrical and/or mechanical education.
• Experience with hydraulic, electrical, or mechanical systems is valued, but it´s not mandatory.
• Teamwork, collaboration and willingness to take over responsibility.
• Willing to travel on regular basis, including nights away from home.
• Computer literate, able to use MS Office and in house database and workload management systems.
• Readiness for training.
• Able to work in high altitudes and to climb everyday some of our turbine.
• Good English language skills (read, write and speak fluently).
