The role focuses on monitoring trading activities, investigating potential breaches, supporting risk mitigation, and delivering insightful reporting to senior stakeholders. Collaboration across Compliance, Risk, and Business teams will be key.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Trade Operations Analyst to join a leading international banking environment. This role is focused on strengthening the control framework around trading and sales activities, ensuring adherence to internal mandates, regulatory requirements, and operational risk standards.

The successful candidate will play a key role in monitoring trading activities, investigating potential breaches, supporting risk mitigation initiatives, and delivering insightful reporting to senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to the maintenance of a strong and resilient control framework.
• Monitor and analyze financial transactions to identify potential unauthorized trading activities or breaches of internal policies.
• Investigate anomalies, assess risks, and propose corrective actions when necessary.
• Support the prevention and mitigation of operational and fraud-related risks.
• Collaborate with various stakeholders, including Compliance, Legal, Tax, Conduct, Risk, and Business teams.
• Coordinate and produce monthly reporting, KPIs, management information, and performance indicators.
• Ensure the quality, relevance, and reliability of control metrics and reporting.
• Prepare clear analyses, summaries, and presentations for management and governance forums.
• Respond to ad hoc requests from management and business stakeholders within a global environment.
• Participate in meetings with senior stakeholders and confidently present findings and recommendations.

Requirements

• Experience within Financial Markets, Trading Operations, Middle Office, Risk, Controls, or similar environments.
• Good understanding of trading processes, financial products, and market activities.
• Experience in operational risk management, controls, or monitoring functions is highly valued.
• Strong analytical and investigative mindset.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with international teams.
