Job summary

HN Services is seeking an Unauthorized Trading Controller to join its financial markets team in Lisbon. You will monitor trading activities, enforce conduct and regulatory controls, and identify risks, supporting continuous improvement of the control framework.

With a background in finance or economics and experience in trading operations, you will work with colleagues across Trading, Risk, Compliance, Legal, and other stakeholders to deliver accurate reports and dashboards.

Qualifications

• Academic background in Finance, Economics, Management, or a related field.
• Previous experience in Financial Markets, Trading Operations, Middle Office, or Internal Controls.
• Good understanding of financial instruments and trading processes.
• Knowledge of operational risk, regulatory controls, and compliance principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyse Sales & Trading activities to identify potential breaches and irregularities.
• Perform conduct and regulatory controls to ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.
• Identify operational and fraud risks, proposing corrective actions and process improvements.
• Maintain and update trading referential data, including books, portfolios, and trader/sales mandates.
• Collaborate with Trading, Risk, Compliance, Legal, and other stakeholders.
• Prepare monthly statistical reports, KPIs, and management presentations.
• Monitor control indicators, ensuring data accuracy and reliability.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen the operational control framework.
