Job summary

Taleo Consulting in Lisbon is seeking a Junior Unauthorized Trading Controller to join a leading international banking group. You will perform second-level conduct and regulatory controls within the first line of defence (LOD1), covering Sales and Trading activities and maintain reference data for books, portfolios and trader/sales mandates.

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance, Economics, Management or a related field.
• Good knowledge of financial markets and trading activities; first experience in Middle Office, controls or risk is a plus.
• Interest in designing and improving processes.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills, both oral and written.
• Results-driven, rigorous and eager to learn.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to a strong and resilient control framework
• Analyse financial transactions to detect potential breaches and propose solutions
• Help reduce operational and fraud risks by reviewing processes with a critical eye
• Work with other teams and functions, including Conduct, Tax, Legal and Compliance
• Prepare and present meetings at different levels of the organisation
• Support ad-hoc requests from Management and the Business, within a global scope
• Coordinate monthly statistical reporting and KPI management, ensuring indicators remain relevant and reliable
• Produce summaries, analysis and reports tailored to each audience
