Job summary

QUANTEAM, founding entity of RAINBOW PARTNERS, is seeking an Unauthorized Trading Controller based in Lisbon, Portugal. The role involves conducting regulatory controls over Sales and Trading activities, analyzing transactions for breaches, and improving the control framework to reduce risk and fraud.

You will collaborate with Business, Conduct, Tax, Legal and Compliance teams, maintain reference data, and prepare monthly KPIs and management reports.

Qualifications

• Experience in Banking/Financial Services is a plus.
• Knowledge of trading operations and middle office workflows.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint for reporting and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Perform conduct and regulatory controls over Sales and Trading activities within the first line of defence.
• Analyze financial transactions to identify breaches, investigate discrepancies and propose corrective actions.
• Strengthen the control framework to mitigate operational risk and fraud.
• Maintain reference data covering trading books, portfolios and Trader/Sales mandates.
• Collaborate with Business, Conduct, Tax, Legal and Compliance teams to investigate and resolve control issues.
• Prepare and present findings in meetings with stakeholders at different levels.
• Coordinate monthly statistical reporting and monitor KPIs for relevance and reliability.
• Produce clear analyses and management reports and respond to ad hoc requests globally.
• Identify opportunities to improve control processes and operational efficiency.

We are looking for an Unauthorized Trading Controller

• Perform conduct and regulatory controls over Sales and Trading activities within the first line of defence.
• Analyze financial transactions to identify potential breaches, investigate discrepancies and propose corrective actions.
• Strengthen the control framework to mitigate operational risk and fraud.
• Maintain reference data covering trading books, portfolios and Trader/Sales mandates.
• Collaborate with Business, Conduct, Tax, Legal and Compliance teams to investigate and resolve control issues.
• Prepare and present findings in meetings with stakeholders at different organizational levels.
• Coordinate monthly statistical reporting and monitor KPIs, ensuring their relevance and reliability.
• Produce clear analyses and management reports, and respond to ad hoc requests within a global scope.

• Good knowledge of financial markets and Trading activities.
• Sound understanding of Middle Office operations and financial transaction processes.
• Strong analytical skills and a critical approach to identifying anomalies and potential control breaches.
