Job summary

Quanteam, founding entity of RAINBOW PARTNERS, is seeking a Permanent Control Officer – Global Markets & Index Risk in Lisbon to strengthen governance and the permanent control framework for index-related activities.

The role involves coordinating regulatory governance committees, reviewing control results, monitoring remediation plans, and translating regulatory changes into practical controls; it requires English fluency and eligibility to work in Portugal.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in permanent control, internal control, operational risk, regulatory compliance or audit within financial services.
• Good understanding of financial markets and Global Markets activities.
• Knowledge of financial indices, benchmarks and the associated regulatory environment is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Strengthen governance and permanent control framework for index-related activities within Global Markets.
• Coordinate regulatory governance committees, review control results and performance indicators, and escalate breaches.
• Monitor remediation plans and follow up on outstanding actions.
• Assess impact of regulatory changes on business activities, policies and procedures.
• Contribute to the design of regulatory first-level control plans.
• Collaborate with business teams and relevant functions to identify risks and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate the implementation of internal audit and supervisory recommendations.
• Promote regulatory awareness among Front Office teams and support mandatory certification programmes.
• Act as the main point of contact for regulatory matters within the Global Markets Permanent Control team.
• Maintain comprehensive records and audit trails of governance decisions and supporting documentation.
• Coordinate Group regulatory initiatives affecting Global Markets and ensure policies are communicated and implemented.

We are looking for a Permanent Control Officer – Global Markets & Index Risk

• Strengthen the governance and permanent control framework for index-related activities within Global Markets.
• Coordinate regulatory governance committees, review control results and performance indicators, and ensure appropriate escalation of potential breaches.
• Monitor remediation plans and follow up on outstanding actions.
• Assess the impact of regulatory changes on business activities, policies and procedures.
• Contribute to the design of regulatory first-level control plans.
• Collaborate with business teams and relevant functions to identify risks and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate the implementation of internal audit and supervisory recommendations.

• Based in Portugal, with valid documentation to work in the country.
• Available to work in Lisbon.
