Job summary

Closer Consulting in Lisbon, Portugal, is seeking an AI & Agents Technical Enablement Lead (SDLC) to drive the integration of AI across the software development lifecycle. The role is hybrid in Lisbon and focuses on enabling engineering teams to build secure, scalable AI-enabled solutions.

You will bridge AI and engineering teams, run hands-on workshops, and establish usage principles while tracking adoption and Developer Experience.

Qualifications

• Degree or solid experience in Software Engineering, CS, or AI Engineering.
• Experience as Tech Lead or Engineering Manager.
• Strong knowledge of Generative AI, LLMs, and AI Agent frameworks (RAG).
• Experience with Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to influence cross-functional teams and facilitate workshops.

Responsibilities

• Map the AI SDLC and identify where AI and Agents boost efficiency.
• Partner with AI engineers, Tech Leads, and Security to validate capabilities.
• Lead hands-on workshops, playbooks, and enablement programs.
• Establish AI usage principles and measure adoption and DevEx.
• Communicate complex AI concepts to technical teams effectively.

• Drive AI SDLC Integration: Map the SDLC (requirements, architecture, coding, testing, security, release) and define where AI & Agents bring real efficiency.
• Bridge AI & Engineering Teams: Partner with AI engineers, Tech Leads, and Security teams to validate agent capabilities, run pilots, and build reference workflows.
• Lead Technical Enablement: Empower engineering teams through hands‑on workshops, playbooks, guidelines, and champion networks.
• Govern & Measure: Establish AI usage principles (security, code quality) and track adoption, productivity metrics, and Developer Experience (DevEx)
• Technical Background: Degree or solid experience in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or AI Engineering.
• Technical Leadership Experience: Previous experience as a Tech Lead, Engineering Manager, AI Solutions Architect, Staff Engineer, or Technical Enablement Lead.
• Deep Knowledge of AI & Agents: Strong understanding of Generative AI, LLMs, and AI Agent frameworks (RAG, prompt engineering, agent orchestration) applied to software engineering.
• SDLC & DevOps Mastery: Deep understanding of modern software engineering practices, Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Change & Communication Skills: Ability to influence cross‑functional technical teams, facilitate workshops, and communicate complex AI concepts effectively.
