Closer Consulting, a Data Science company, seeks a Senior Data Analyst to join a hybrid Porto team. You will develop ETL pipelines, model databases in SQL Server, and ensure data quality while aligning with business KPIs.

The role emphasizes cloud solutions with Azure / Microsoft Fabric, collaboration with stakeholders, and contributing to diverse client projects across industries. Fluency in English is valued.

Qualifications

• 4 to 5 years of experience in similar roles.
• Solid proficiency in SQL Server and SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services).
• Proven experience with ETL processes and data warehouse architectures.
• Knowledge and experience with Azure / Microsoft Fabric.
• Strong ability to identify, diagnose, and resolve data issues and performance tuning.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact easily with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Problem-solving orientation and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines to extract, clean, and transform data from heterogeneous sources (databases, APIs, files, and cloud environments).
• Model and optimize databases in SQL Server by writing complex queries, stored procedures, and efficient views to support business analytics.
• Proactively ensure data integrity, consistency, and quality throughout the pipeline, guaranteeing high solution performance.
• Document business rules, transformations, and data validation criteria.
• Translate functional requirements and business needs into robust data models and clear KPIs.
• Explore and implement modern data solutions using cloud ecosystems (Azure / Microsoft Fabric).

• Engineering & ETL: Develop, optimize, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines to extract, clean, and transform data from heterogeneous sources (databases, APIs, files, and cloud environments).

• Governance & Documentation: Document business rules, transformations, and data validation criteria.

What We’re Looking For (Mandatory Requirements):

• 4 to 5 years of experience in similar roles.
