Job summary

HITACHI ENERGY PORTUGAL, S.A. is seeking a Project Engineer for Substation Automation to lead testing, configuration, and integration of protection and control IEDs for transmission and distribution substations. PCM600 will be the main software used across projects globally.

You will collaborate closely with the project manager and SCADA engineer, interfacing with customers to ensure successful delivery while traveling within Portugal as needed.

Qualifications

• Engineering Diploma required with proven control & protection experience.
• At least 5 years in a control & protection engineer role.
• Strong communication and Portuguese/English proficiency.
• Willingness to travel within Portugal.

Responsibilities

• Carry out testing & commissioning for Protection and Control IEDs in transmission/substation projects.
• Develop protection and control concepts with the project core team.
• Interact with engineering and project management to execute site works efficiently.
• Obtain approvals from utilities for commissioning activities and testing.
• Adhere to Hitachi Energy safety, integrity, and collaboration standards.
