Job summary

ewi Recruitment is seeking a Senior Secondary Design Engineer in Lisbon, Portugal. You will prepare electrical design documentation for protection and control systems in MV/HV substations for data center and industrial clients across Scandinavia, using EPLAN and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities include panel design, schematics, wiring diagrams, interlocking logic, and coordination with protection, SCADA, and other engineering teams. English is required; Portuguese is a plus. EU citizen status preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years in protection and control engineering.
• Experience with EPLAN, AutoCAD for protection and control systems.

Responsibilities

• Design protection and control panels for HV and MV substations.
• Prepare panel layouts and wiring documentation.
• Develop detailed schematics and wiring diagrams using EPLAN.
• Coordinate with Protection Engineers and SCADA/SAS Engineers.
• Prepare and update cable schedules and drawings.
• Assist in as-built documentation and project records.
