Infineon Technologies AG in Portugal seeks a Senior Product & Test Engineer to drive NPI and production engineering efforts, collaborating with Design, Process, Test and Manufacturing teams to ensure robust product performance and quality.

The role emphasizes data-driven analysis, SPC, FMEA and Six Sigma methodologies to reduce yields, optimize processes, and cut manufacturing costs while maintaining international, cross-cultural collaboration.

Qualifications

• Degree in physics, mechanical, electrical, microsystems or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Product and Test Engineering.
• Fluency in English and Portuguese (written and spoken).

Responsabilités

• Lead new product introduction (NPI) and provide production support engineering for assigned products.
• Investigate and solve product and production issues related to yield, stability and quality with cross-functional teams.
• Drive process improvements to increase manufacturing yield, stability and reduce costs.

Are you in?Your roleKey responsibilities in your new roleAs a Senior Product & Test Engineer, you will play a key role in new product introduction (NPI) and production engineering, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure robust product performance, high manufacturing quality, and continuous improvement of yield and cost.Manage new product introduction and provide production support engineering for assigned productsInvestigate and solve product and production issues related to yield, stability and quality in collaboration with Design, Process, Test, Reliability and Manufacturing Engineering teamsDrive process improvements to increase manufacturing yield, improve process stability and production costsApply structured problem-solving and engineering methodologies such as Statistical Process Control, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, Advanced Process Control, 8D and Six SigmaAnalyze product and test data to identify trends, root cause, risks, improvement opportunities, and apply findings into effective engineering actionsContribute to robust and sustainable manufacturing solutions by applying a systematic, data-driven approach to technical challengesYour profileQualifications and skills to help you succeedYou combine a strong technical and analytical mindset with a hands-on approach to problem solving.
