Job summary

Infineon Technologies AG in Porto seeks a Software Engineer to join our Corporate Functions team. You will develop and enhance software, drive innovations, and ensure scalable, stable performance in a global agile setting.

Working with C#, .NET Core, Blazor, and Windows apps, you’ll use Docker/OpenShift/Kubernetes, contribute to DevOps, automated testing, and SAFe practices to deliver robust software for our diverse platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in Software Development with C# and .NET Core.
• Experience with RESTful services, GUI/Backend development, and DevOps tools.

Responsibilities

• Development, troubleshooting, debugging, maintaining and improving existing software.
• Refactoring and migration to new technologies, automated testing and deployment.
• Take ownership and proactively manage changes while meeting commitments.
• Contribute to global agile projects as part of the DevOps team.
• Collaborate with a cross-functional, international team to deliver value.

Key responsibilities in your new role

As a Software Engineer, you will develop and enhance software solutions, drive innovation and technology adoption, and optimize performance, scalability, and stability within a global agile team.

• Development, troubleshooting, debugging, maintaining and improving of existing software
• Create new ideas and be part of the Innovation Team, helping to bring existing software to the next level
• Refactoring and migration to new technologies, automated testing and deployment, and optimization of performance, stability, and scalability
• Take ownership and proactively manage changes while ensuring commitments are met
• Contribute to global agile projects as part of our DevOps team

Please note that this position is offered on a fixed-term contract ending on September 30, 2027.

Qualifications And Skills To Help You Succeed

You are a collaborative team player with strong communication skills, capable of translating technical concepts for diverse audiences. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, embrace challenges, and take a proactive approach to problem-solving.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field
• 3-5 years of experience in Software Development, with strong knowledge of C#, .NET Core, RESTful Web Services, and Windows-based applications
• Experience working with databases, preferably Oracle and PL/SQL
• Experience in Frontend (GUI) and/or Backend service development is a plus
• Knowledge of Blazor, Docker, OpenShift, Kubernetes, or similar technologies is a plus
• Experience with Agile frameworks (e.g., SAFe), DevOps practices, and Automated Testing tools (e.g., Azure DevOps Server) is a plus
• Fluency in English
