Infineon Technologies AG in Porto is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures supporting Finance and business processes.

You will drive ETL/ELT solutions across ERP, financial, and external data sources, enabling analytics and trusted datasets for stakeholders. The role emphasizes data governance, security, and modern data warehouse/lakehouse concepts.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field
• At least 3 years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Architecture, or Business Intelligence
• Strong knowledge of SQL, data modelling, and enterprise-scale data platforms
• Hands-on experience with Python, Spark, and cloud-based data environments such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud
• Fluent English communication skills

• Build and support modern data warehouse and lakehouse solutions, leveraging cloud and container technologies
• Collaborate with Finance, architecture, and technology teams to deliver sustainable and business-focused data solutions
• Act as a technical lead and mentor, sharing knowledge and supporting the development of data engineering capabilities within the team

Your Role

Key responsibilities in your new role

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will partner with Finance, Data & Analytics, and IT teams to build robust data ecosystems that transform complex financial data into strategic business insights. You will play a key role in our digital transformation journey by driving best practices in data engineering, architecture, and governance.

• Design and maintain scalable data pipelines, platforms, and architecture that support enterprise Finance and business processes
• Develop and optimize ETL/ELT solutions integrating data from ERP, financial, operational, and external sources
• Enable analytics and reporting capabilities by providing trusted, high-quality datasets for business stakeholders and data consumers
• Implement and maintain data governance, quality, security, and compliance standards to ensure reliable and accurate data assets
• Build and support modern data warehouse and lakehouse solutions, leveraging cloud and container technologies
• Collaborate with Finance, architecture, and technology teams to deliver sustainable and business-focused data solutions

Mandatory

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field
• At least 3 years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Architecture, or Business Intelligence
• Strong knowledge of SQL, data modelling, and enterprise-scale data platforms
• Hands-on experience with Python, Spark, and cloud-based data environments such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud
• Strong understanding of data warehouse, lakehouse, and modern data architecture concepts
• Fluent English communication skills

Preferred

• Experience with Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, Snowflake, DBT, Airflow, Dagster, SAP or Oracle integrations, Finance processes, data visualization platforms, AI or machine learning solutions, and technical project leadership
