Upwork Inc. is establishing its first international operational hub in Lisbon, Portugal, with a new office expected to be fully operational by Q4 2026.

The Senior People Operations Specialist will drive scalable programs across the employee lifecycle and immigration, partnering with HRBPs and managers to support a growing global workforce. The role requires strong operational instincts and the ability to navigate complexity.

Qualificações

• 5+ years of progressive experience across People Operations or related HR roles.
• Experience supporting immigration and multi-country processes.
• Strong understanding of employee lifecycle operations and HR practices.

Responsabilidades

• Partner on onboarding, offboarding, organizational changes, and other lifecycle moments for employees and managers.
• Coordinate immigration matters end-to-end with our vendor, guiding employees and managers.
• Maintain accurate immigration records and communications, ensuring compliance.
• Navigate sensitive situations with judgment, escalating when appropriate.
• Provide guidance across coaching and performance processes for managers and employees.
• Support People Operations across our global footprint, aligning with local requirements.
• Identify opportunities to simplify processes using technology and AI to reduce manual work.
