Upwork Inc. is establishing its first international operational hub in Lisbon, Portugal. The Senior People Operations Specialist will deliver scalable people programs and support across the employee lifecycle, including immigration and global mobility.

Initially employed through a partner to facilitate a smooth hiring process while the hub is set up; the role requires 3 days in the office once open. The company offers competitive benefits and a diverse, inclusive workforce.

Qualificações

• 5+ years of progressive experience across People Operations or HR roles.
• Experience supporting immigration processes and multi-country work.
• Strong understanding of employee lifecycle operations.
• Experience partnering with HRBPs and managers.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy.

Responsabilidades

• Onboarding, offboarding, organizational changes, and other lifecycle moments; guide employees, managers, and HRBPs on complex People Operations matters.
• Coordinate immigration matters end-to-end with our external vendor; support employees and managers navigating processes.
• Maintain accurate immigration records, communications, and workflows; support eligibility and compliance.
• Navigate ambiguous or sensitive situations with discretion and sound judgment; know when to escalate.
• Provide guidance and operational support across coaching and performance processes; partner with managers and employees.
• Support People Operations across our growing global footprint, coordinating with internal teams and vendors for local requirements.
• Identify opportunities to simplify and improve People processes using technology and AI where it reduces manual work.
