Upwork Inc. in Lisbon, Portugal, is establishing its first international operational hub and seeks a Senior People Operations Specialist to scale programs across the employee lifecycle.

You will partner with HRBPs, managers, and vendors to drive immigration processes, performance management, and lifecycle operations while enabling a global, AI‑driven approach. This hybrid role requires in‑office presence once the hub opens.

Qualificações

• 5+ years of progressive experience across People Operations, HR Generalist, shared services, or related roles.
• Experience supporting immigration and global mobility across multiple countries is a plus.
• Strong understanding of employee lifecycle operations and HR practices.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and partner with HRBPs, managers, and cross‑functional teams.
• Proven track record in process improvement and documentation.

Responsabilidades

• Partner on onboarding, offboarding, organizational changes, and other employee lifecycle moments.
• Own end-to-end immigration coordination with our external vendor.
• Maintain immigration records and ensure compliance.
• Support coaching and performance processes with managers.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to meet local requirements.
• Identify opportunities to simplify and improve processes using technology and AI.
