Job summary

ABB Portugal is seeking an Area Sales Manager to lead sales of Medium Voltage products and systems across the country, reporting to the Electrification Distribution Sales Manager. You will drive volumes and margins while building lasting customer relationships and identifying new opportunities.

The role requires an Electrical/Electronic Engineering degree, 6+ years in MV sales, English fluency, and a collaborative approach. Travel across Portugal is frequent; SAP/Salesforce knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• Electrical/Electronic Engineering degree required.
• 6+ years of sales experience in MV products and systems.
• Knowledge of MV and EV Mobility market desirable.
• SAP and Salesforce knowledge a plus.
• Proven ability to develop and manage customer relationships.
• Collaborative, solution-focused approach with strong communication skills.
• Driving license valid in Portugal.

Responsibilities

• Sell Medium Voltage products and systems in Portugal, driving sales volumes and margins.
• Prepare sales plans and bids with marketing to ensure technical and financial accuracy.
• Identify and develop new market opportunities with the wider sales team.
• Leverage knowledge of customer needs and ABB solutions to determine effective proposals.
• Travel frequently within Portugal to engage customers and close deals.
