Job summary

Siemens Energy invites applications for a Senior Middle Office Operations role in Portugal. You will execute, coordinate, and govern Treasury MO activities, focusing on market, counterparty, and settlement risk, while ensuring robust TMS configurations and accurate reporting.

Demonstrated 5–7 years in Treasury MO or related areas, with derivatives experience and strong Excel/TMS skills. IFRS 9/16 knowledge and regulatory reporting experience are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• A degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, Mathematics, or a comparable discipline.
• 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in Treasury Middle Office, market risk, counterparty risk, or regulatory reporting.
• Proven experience with derivatives, risk-limit frameworks, and management reporting.
• Strong proficiency in Treasury Management Systems and advanced Excel skills; experience with BI tools like Power BI or Tableau is a plus.
• Knowledge of IFRS 9, IFRS 16, and regulatory transaction-reporting requirements, with a keen analytical judgment.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development and continuous enhancement of the Treasury Value at Risk concept, including its methodology and governance.
• Assist in maintaining financial instrument valuation methodologies and support IFRS 16 rate calculations.
• Participate in market data sourcing governance and maintain TMS market data configuration, including reviewing configuration changes.
• Define and monitor market risk limits, perform market conformity checks, and escape material breaches as necessary.
• Help prepare Risk Committee and regulatory transaction-reporting submissions, including Dodd-Frank, EMIR, and AWV, with thorough analysis of exposures and required decisions.
