Aubay Portugal is seeking a seasoned Java/J2EE developer to join our data processing team in Lisbon. You will design and develop a batch data processing application using Spark, primarily delivering backend services with Java/J2EE and Spring frameworks, while gaining expertise in Spark and Big Data within a multicultural IT environment.

The role requires strong Java 8+ skills, knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes, SQL databases, and CI/CD tools.

Qualificações

• 6+ years of Java/J2EE development experience.
• Java 8+ with lambdas, streams, and concurrency.
• Proficiency with Spring frameworks (Spring Boot, Spring MVC).
• Backend architecture, API design, and cloud-native apps using Docker/Kubernetes.
• SQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle ExaCC).
• CI/CD tooling (Maven, GitLab, ArgoCD).
• Knowledge of Apache Spark and Big Data technologies.
• Fluent English is essential.

What will you do?

• Contribute to the design and development of a data processing application executed in batch mode using Spark.
• Actively develop backend functionalities primarily using Java/J2EE technologies.
• Gradually acquire and apply expertise in Apache Spark and Big Data technologies within the team.
• Work within a dynamic and multicultural IT project environment.
