Aubay Portugal is seeking a backend engineer to design and deliver customer-facing REST APIs, owning end-to-end architecture and robust data ingestion layers. You will ship code frequently, iterate from feedback, and contribute to a culture of quality and collaboration.

We value a product engineering mindset, 5+ years in backend, 3+ years with Python, and strong cloud and CI/CD capabilities. The role is hybrid with in-person Porto collaboration.

Qualificações

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience designing scalable APIs.
• 3+ years building RESTful APIs with Python.
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems including async processing and retries.
• Experience with PostgreSQL or MySQL and data modelling.
• Experience in cloud environments (GCP/AWS/Azure) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Customer-focused mindset with ability to work with stakeholders.
• Strong teamwork and prioritization skills.

What will you do?

• Design and deliver customer-facing REST APIs with comprehensive documentation, ensuring a seamless self-service experience for developers.
• Own the end-to-end architecture and implementation of core product features, from conception to deployment.
• Build and maintain robust, secure, and resilient data ingestion layers, including performant scraping and parsing components.
• Ship code frequently, iterate quickly based on product performance and customer feedback, and meet stringent security and uptime requirements.
• Contribute to shaping our engineering culture and establishing high standards for quality, ownership, and collaboration.
