Aubay Portugal seeks a Senior Java / Full Stack Developer to lead modernization efforts across critical systems. You will analyze, design, and implement modern architectures, including REST APIs and microservices, while applying agile practices and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

You will work in a hybrid environment, contributing to architecture decisions, mentoring peers, and ensuring high-quality software delivery with a focus on scalable, secure solutions.

Qualificações

• 7 to 12 years of proven experience in application development and modernization.
• Proficient in Java versions 7-21, Spring Boot and Spring Framework.
• Experience building robust REST APIs and distributed systems.
• Strong containerization experience with Docker and Kubernetes, plus CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent communication and ability to interact with diverse stakeholders; English (B2) and French (B1).

What will you do?

• Lead and participate in end-to-end application modernization initiatives, from technical and functional analysis to implementation.
• Perform in-depth technical analysis of existing solutions, estimate effort, and plan development activities.
• Modernize Java legacy code, evolve Java versions, and design/expose robust REST APIs.
• Drive the transformation of monolithic applications into scalable microservices architectures and distributed systems.
• Work with containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes, and implement CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Leverage AI tools, such as GitHub Copilot, to accelerate and support development processes, and provide technical guidance to the team.
