KLx, the Portuguese subsidiary of Crédit Agricole S.A., is seeking a Senior IT Operations Engineer to ensure operability and smooth running of Open Systems environments in Lisbon.

You will combine hands-on production expertise with technical coordination, supporting the team in maintaining reliable IT operations. The role covers Production Operations, Scheduling, Monitoring and Automation, in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in IT Operations, Production Support or Application Support environments.
• Solid knowledge of Linux administration and production environments.
• Hands-on experience with Control-M.
• Experience with application servers such as Tomcat, Apache or JBoss.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS and/or GCP).
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, CloudWatch or similar.
• Familiarity with Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, GitLab and ServiceNow is a plus.
• Experience working in Agile and ITIL environments.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Professional proficiency in French and a good level of English.

Our mission is to support the IT transformation and activities of a worldwide bank, capitalising on the expertise of our international campus in Lisbon.

You will join an Operations team working on the availability, stability and operational performance of critical banking applications and production environments.

Senior IT Operations Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the operability and smooth running of Open Systems environments. You will combine hands‑on production expertise with technical coordination, supporting the team in maintaining reliable and efficient IT operations.

About responsibilities

1. Production Operations & Support

• Ensure the stability, availability and performance of critical banking applications.
• Provide Level 2 support and participate in incident resolution and recovery activities.
• Monitor production processes and maintain operational documentation.
• Contribute to operational excellence and continuous service improvement.

2. Scheduling, Monitoring & Automation

• Manage and optimise batch scheduling activities using Control-M.
• Monitor production workflows and ensure SLA compliance.
• Automate operational processes using scripting and infrastructure automation tools.
• Support monitoring and observability initiatives across the application landscape.
• Support Linux and Windows environments, application servers and production deployments.
• Work with technologies such as Tomcat, JBoss, Jenkins, GitLab, AWS and GCP.
• Participate in application releases, technical changes and production transitions.
• Ensure secure and reliable operations across cloud and on‑premises environments.

4. Technical Leadership & Continuous Improvement

• Act as a technical reference within the team.
• Support knowledge sharing and best practices.
• Coordinate technical activities with application, infrastructure and project teams.
• Drive automation, reliability and continuous improvement initiatives.

Who You Are

• Strong experience in IT Operations, Production Support or Application Support environments.
• Solid knowledge of Linux administration and production environments.
• Hands‑on experience with Control-M.
• Experience with application servers such as Tomcat, Apache or JBoss.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS and/or GCP).
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, CloudWatch or similar.
• Familiarity with Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, GitLab and ServiceNow is a plus.
• Experience working in Agile and ITIL environments.
