Job summary

Nimber in Lisbon or Porto offers a Senior DevOps Engineer role in a hybrid setup. You will design, automate, and secure containerized platforms with a focus on OpenShift and Kubernetes, and you will manage CI/CD pipelines and IaC tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, administer, and optimize Red Hat OpenShift clusters across on‑premises and cloud environments.
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, Tekton, and ArgoCD.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Ansible, and Helm.
• Support development teams with application onboarding and Cloud‑Native practices.
• Implement and optimize monitoring, logging, and alerting with Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK.
• Integrate security into CI/CD pipelines, including vulnerability scanning, secrets management, RBAC, and network policies.
• Troubleshoot platform and infrastructure issues and ensure high availability and performance.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and evaluate new technologies and architectures.
• Mentor teammates and promote knowledge sharing.

Position:Senior DevOps Engineer

Location: Lisbon or Oporto / Hybrid

Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes to design, administer, automate, and optimize containerized environments. The role involves managing CI/CD and GitOps pipelines, implementing Infrastructure as Code, supporting development teams with application onboarding, and ensuring platform performance, observability, and security through DevSecOps practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, administer, and optimize Red Hat OpenShift clusters across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Tekton, and ArgoCD.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Ansible, and Helm.
• Support development teams with application onboarding and promote Cloud-Native best practices.
• Implement and optimize monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK.
• Integrate security practices into CI/CD pipelines, including vulnerability scanning, secrets management, RBAC, and network policies.
• Troubleshoot platform and infrastructure issues and ensure high availability and performance.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and evaluate new technologies and architectures.
• Promote knowledge sharing and mentor less experienced team members.

Requirements:

• Minimum 6 years of experience in DevOps, with strong experience in containerized environments.
• Advanced knowledge of Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes, including administration, security, operators, and routing.
• Strong experience with Terraform and Ansible.
• Experience with ArgoCD, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar CI/CD and GitOps tools.
• Strong knowledge of Linux, networking, and IT security.
• Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Go.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP is a plus.
• Knowledge of microservices architectures is valued.
• Red Hat OpenShift or Kubernetes certifications such as EX280, EX288, CKA, or CKAD are a plus.
• Fluent/native French is required.
• Strong communication, autonomy, problem-solving, and technical leadership skills.
• Comfortable working in an Agile and collaborative environment.
