The SIXT Lisbon hub is seeking a Senior Data Scientist specializing in Operations Research to shape next-generation fleet strategies. You will design and deploy optimization systems affecting purchasing, pricing, and financial projections across the business, driving revenue and service quality.

With a strong foundation in mathematical optimization and ML, you will implement production-grade models, stay abreast of the latest research, and mentor junior team members in a fast-paced,

Qualificações

• Master's degree or higher in a quantitative field (Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Statistics).
• Proven knowledge of optimization methods and ML, with production deployment experience.
• Strong Python programming for data analysis, modeling, and production use.
• Experience in revenue management or stock optimization is a plus.
• Ability to translate complex problems into actionable models and communicate results.

Responsabilidades

• You design, develop, and deploy advanced fleet planning systems supporting purchasing, pricing, and financial projections.
• You formulate and solve optimization problems (linear, nonlinear, dynamic, stochastic) to maximize margin.
• You explain the reasons behind results to stakeholders across the business.
• You build models capturing real-world rental car pricing and allocation complexity.
• You stay current with revenue management, OR, and ML research and bring new ideas.
• You mentor and guide junior team members.
