Job summary

bunch is building the backbone of private markets and is hiring a Senior Applied AI Engineer for the AI Platform team in Portugal. You will design and own end-to-end AI-driven fund-operations workflows, moving AI from prototype to production with strong emphasis on observability, cost, latency, and regional data residency.

You will lead multi-agent design, tool contracts, and memory management while mentoring others.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building production software with end-to-end ownership of agents or LLM-powered capabilities.
• Experience with orchestration, context engineering (RAG), and multi-agent design.
• Ability to read traces, diagnose failures, manage latency and cost.

Responsibilities

• Design and own autonomous fund-operations workflows as production-capable agents.
• Develop evaluation layers with real-data test cases and regression suites.
• Ensure observability, cost tracking, latency targets, and failover in EU data residency.
