Jobgether SRL in Portugal is seeking a Founding Senior Software Engineer to shape the technical architecture of an AI-powered platform that helps organizations discover, understand, and act on information.

You will lead backend systems, data processing pipelines, and AI integrations, own end-to-end feature development, and drive shipping cycles with a lean team, enjoying substantial ownership and autonomy in a fast-growing startup environment.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience building, deploying, and scaling production-grade software systems.
• Deep expertise in at least one technical area, with willingness to expand across the stack.
• Proficiency in backend technologies such as Python, TypeScript, and PostgreSQL, with understanding of high-concurrency systems.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP) and containerization (Docker & Kubernetes) and modern CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, system reliability, and scalable designs.
• Expertise in Data Engineering, Distributed Systems, AI/ML, or Backend Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and develop core software systems across the technology stack.
• Own feature development end-to-end from design to deployment and monitoring.
• Integrate AI and ML capabilities into production workflows (LLMs, RAG, embeddings, agents).
• Build scalable, reliable backend services and APIs.
• Design and optimize data processing systems and real-time pipelines.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate product requirements into technical solutions.
• Deliver features rapidly and iterate based on feedback.
• Contribute to engineering best practices and infrastructure decisions.
