Accenture Portugal is seeking a Senior AI Platform Engineer to design, build, and scale an AI-driven platform that boosts developer productivity across the SDLC. You will lead production-grade AI Agents, orchestration, and tooling in a hybrid Lisbon-area team.

You will collaborate across Software Engineering, Platform, DevOps, and Product teams, implement observability, CI/CD pipelines, and automation, and evaluate emerging AI technologies for enterprise use.

Qualificações

• 8+ years of professional Software Engineering experience, including senior or technical leadership responsibilities.
• Proven hands-on experience designing, building, and deploying AI Agents in production environments.
• Strong experience with agent orchestration, tool use, context engineering, MCP servers, and agent evaluation.
• Proficiency in Python and TypeScript.
• Background in Platform Engineering, DevOps, and CI/CD.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (GCP/Azure/AWS).
• IaC with Terraform or similar.
• Experience building internal developer platforms, CLIs, or workflow engines.
• Solid understanding of the full SDLC and production operations.
• Hands-on with agentic coding tools.

Responsabilidades

• Design and implement agentic development workflows, tools, and automation across the SDLC.
• Develop and integrate production-ready AI Agents using orchestration, tool use, MCP, and context engineering.
• Build evaluation frameworks, guardrails, automated quality checks, and monitoring for reliable agent behavior.
• Design and optimize CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and developer tooling.
• Integrate AI-powered workflows with enterprise platforms like Jira and source control.
• Build scalable platform capabilities enabling safe AI-assisted development.
• Improve developer experience, productivity, reliability, and delivery efficiency.
• Develop reusable components, APIs, CLIs, and workflow automation for AI development.
• Implement observability and operational controls for production AI agents.
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies for enterprise use and guide adoption.
• Collaborate with Software Eng., Platform, DevOps, Architecture, and Product teams on decisions.
• Act as a technical reference for agentic engineering and platform decisions.
• Identify bottlenecks across the SDLC and automate for productivity.

As an essential part of our team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and scaling an AI-driven engineering platform that improves developer productivity across the end-to-end Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). We are looking for a highly autonomous professional with strong expertise in production-grade AI Agents, Platform Engineering, DevOps, and modern software engineering practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of professional Software Engineering experience, including senior or technical leadership responsibilities
• Proven hands-on experience designing, building, and deploying AI Agents in real-world production environments
• Strong experience with agent orchestration, tool use, context engineering, MCP servers, and agent evaluation
• Proficiency in Python and TypeScript
• Strong background in Platform Engineering, DevOps, and CI/CD
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, preferably GCP or equivalent platforms such as Azure or AWS
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform or equivalent technologies
• Experience developing internal developer platforms, CLIs, workflow engines, or engineering automation solutions
• Strong understanding of the end-to-end SDLC, including requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and production operations
• Hands-on experience using agentic coding tools as part of day-to-day software engineering
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to independently evaluate technical alternatives and drive implementation
• Ability to take ownership of complex technical challenges with minimal supervision
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
• English proficiency at C1 level or higher

Responsibilities

• Design and implement agentic development workflows, tools, and automation across the SDLC
• Develop and integrate production-ready AI Agents using orchestration, tool use, MCP, and context engineering
• Build evaluation frameworks, guardrails, automated quality checks, and monitoring mechanisms to ensure reliable agent behavior
• Design and optimize CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and developer tooling
• Integrate AI-powered workflows with enterprise engineering platforms, including Jira, source control systems, and CI/CD platforms
• Build scalable platform capabilities that enable engineering teams to safely adopt AI-assisted development
• Improve developer experience, engineering productivity, reliability, and software delivery efficiency
• Develop reusable components, APIs, CLIs, and workflow automation for AI-enabled engineering processes
• Implement observability and operational controls for production AI agents
• Evaluate emerging agentic AI technologies and determine their suitability for enterprise production environments
• Collaborate with Software Engineering, Platform, DevOps, Architecture, and Product teams on technical decisions
• Act as a technical reference for agentic engineering and contribute to platform architecture decisions
• Identify bottlenecks across the SDLC and implement automation that delivers measurable productivity improvements

Nice to Have

• Experience with AI development tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, or similar agentic coding solutions
• Knowledge of Knowledge Graphs and their application to software engineering contexts
• Experience with static analysis, code intelligence, or program analysis tooling
