Job summary

Sysmatch is seeking a seasoned software engineer to drive AI agent development in production, build robust platform engineering foundations, and scale DevOps practices across the SDLC. You will craft agent orchestration, tooling, and context engineering with a focus on reliability and developer productivity.

The role requires 8+ years of experience, proficiency in Python and TypeScript, and hands-on work with cloud infrastructure (GCP) and IaC (Terraform).

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with senior/lead responsibilities.
• Proven experience deploying AI agents in production including orchestration and evaluation frameworks.
• Strong background in Platform Engineering, DevOps and CI/CD practices.
• Proficient in Python and TypeScript; exposure to Kotlin/Go/Rust is a plus.
• Experience with cloud infra (GCP or equivalent) and Terraform or similar IaC.

Responsibilities

• Design and build agentic development workflows and automation across the SDLC.
• Develop and integrate AI agents, orchestration, MCP servers, and context engineering.
• Implement evaluation frameworks, guardrails, and quality checks for reliable outputs.
• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines, infra automation, and developer tooling.
• Integrate AI workflows with Jira, source control, and CI platforms.
• Improve engineering efficiency, reliability, and developer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and build agentic development workflows, tools, and automation across the SDLC.
• Develop and integrate AI agents, including orchestration, tool use, MCP servers, and context engineering.
• Implement evaluation frameworks, guardrails, and quality checks to ensure reliable agent outputs.
• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and developer tooling.
• Integrate AI-powered workflows with enterprise systems, including Jira, source control, and CI platforms.
• Improve engineering efficiency, reliability, and developer experience.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, including senior or lead-level responsibilities.
• Proven experience building and deploying AI agents in production environments, including orchestration, MCP, and evaluation frameworks.
• Strong background in Platform Engineering, DevOps, and CI/CD.
• Proficiency in Python and TypeScript; familiarity with Kotlin, Go, or Rust is a plus.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (GCP or equivalent) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or similar).
• Experience developing internal developer platforms, CLIs, or workflow engines.
• Strong understanding of the end-to-end SDLC and developer productivity practices.
• Hands-on experience using agentic coding tools in day-to-day software development.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, technical ownership, and ability to operate autonomously with minimal supervision.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Cursor, Claude Code, or similar AI development tools.
• Knowledge graphs, static analysis, or code intelligence tooling.
• BDD/Cucumber, contract testing, or mobile test automation (Maestro).
• Experience improving engineering productivity through automation at scale.

Salary Range: 30k - 45k Gross/Annual + Benefits
