Job summary

CapsLock is seeking a Social Media Video Editor & Designer to craft engaging, platform-first video content for TikTok, Instagram and Facebook. You will edit short-form videos with strong hooks, pacing, transitions, captions, sound and motion graphics, turning raw footage into polished social content.

You'll also design supporting assets like thumbnails, overlays and static posts, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and marketing objectives while exploring new formats and trends.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional video editing and creative experience.
• Strong portfolio showcasing short-form video editing, motion graphics, and graphic design work.
• Strong video editing skills using Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar tools.
• Graphic design skills using Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma, or similar tools.
• Strong visual storytelling skills with pacing, hooks, composition, and attention to detail.
• Solid understanding of TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook, including trends and best practices.
• Ability to follow brand guidelines while bringing fresh creative ideas to content.

Responsibilities

• Edit engaging short-form videos for TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook with strong hooks and pacing.
• Turn raw footage into polished social content using cuts, captions, transitions, music, voiceovers, SFX, and visual effects.
• Adapt content for different platforms, formats, and aspect ratios.
• Create motion graphics and supporting design assets, including overlays, text animations, thumbnails, static posts, and Stories.
• Develop creative concepts and video drafts, incorporating team feedback into final deliverables.
• Collaborate with the social media team to review performance and improve creatives based on engagement and retention.
• Work cross-functionally with CRO, Media Buying, Sales, and other teams to support campaign objectives.
• Stay current with trends, editing styles, platform updates, and maintain organized assets with version control.
