Job summary

Darkroom is seeking a Video Editor for its internal Marketing Team to craft standout social-first and long-form content across platforms like TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and LinkedIn. This remote role supports a team operating in the EST time zone and collaborates across fast-paced, feedback-rich environments.

Bring 3–4+ years of experience, strong storytelling, and fluency with Premiere, Final Cut, After Effects, Photoshop, and motion graphics.

Qualifications

• 3–4+ years of experience editing content for social-first brands, creators or agencies.
• Proficient with Premiere, Final Cut; working knowledge of After Effects, Photoshop and motion graphics.
• Strong storytelling, pacing, and rhythm for engaging content.
• Editing for performance, optimized for TikTok, YouTube Shorts and LinkedIn.
• Able to own edits from concept to final export and handle multiple formats.
• Thrives in fast-paced, feedback-rich environments; organized with contingency plans.

Responsibilities

• Edit and produce standout content across short-form and long-form formats.
• Create native formats for IG, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, and X with hooks and captions.
• Turn voice notes, podcasts, webinars and interviews into polished videos.
• Collaborate with Video Lead on edits, structure and narrative framing.
• Organize and manage footage to a scalable pipeline for recurring formats.
• Apply finishing touches: color, transitions, graphics and audio fidelity.
• Support post-production for podcasts and events; add intros/outros and subtitles.
• Analyze performance data to refine editing strategies for reach and engagement.
