Job summary

Jobgether is seeking an experienced Container Engineer based in Portugal to join a globally distributed team. You will ensure reliability, security, observability, and cost efficiency of a multi-tenant Kubernetes platform across regions, blending software engineering, platform architecture, and SRE practices.

You will lead platform reliability, ORRs, incident management, and build automation, CI/CD pipelines, and platform APIs while reducing toil and enabling scalable deployments.

Qualifications

• Five+ years in platform engineering, Kubernetes or container platform operations, SRE, or production infra.
• Deep technical expertise in one or more areas among container tooling, software engineering, and SRE with multi-tenant infra experience.
• Experience with AWS cloud environments, IaC tools (Pulumi preferred; Terraform or AWS CDK acceptable).
• Proven ability to design scalable, reliable platform APIs and automation.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets for a multi-tenant container platform.
• Lead ORRs for new capabilities and changes, improve uptime metrics and observability.
• Participate in on-call rotations and drive postmortems for continuous improvement.
• Build, maintain, and deploy production-grade automation, controllers, operators, and platform APIs.
• Design and improve CI/CD pipelines, rollout mechanisms, and release processes.
• Implement security automation, intrusion detection, and automated remediation.
• Develop automated tests and pipelines to validate platform releases before production.
• Evaluate and evolve the container tech stack, ensuring resilience and scalability.
• Improve platform architecture to optimize infrastructure costs while maintaining security.
• Assist product teams with sustainable operational practices and reduced alert noise.
