Jobgether is seeking an AI Research Engineer specialized in Agentic Reinforcement Learning in Portugal. You will drive research and innovation across multimodal AI, developing advanced RL methods that enhance decision-making and adaptive behavior.

This fully remote role offers collaboration with a global team and opportunities to publish at top conferences. The ideal candidate has a strong RL track record, PhD or Master’s with RL focus, and hands-on PyTorch experience across simulation,

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in a related field.
• Strong track record of AI research in top conferences.
• Experience conducting large-scale reinforcement learning experiments in multimodal systems.
• Proven ability to improve policy performance in complex environments.
• Deep understanding of RL algorithms and optimization for vision/multimodal learning.

Responsibilities

• Research and develop reinforcement learning algorithms for multimodal models.
• Design scalable RL infrastructure for distributed training.
• Develop reward modeling strategies to improve training stability.
• Create and maintain multimodal simulation environments and datasets.
• Design rigorous evaluation protocols to measure performance.
• Analyze and optimize policy performance across modalities.
• Investigate emerging RL paradigms for improved learning.
• Improve model exploration and adaptive behavior for real-world environments.
• Conduct large-scale experiments and translate findings into improvements.
• Publish and present findings at leading conferences (ICML, NeurIPS, ICLR, CVPR, ICCV, ECCV).
