Job summary

Martinhal Lisbon Chiado Family Suites seeks a Relief Receptionist to welcome guests and support front-office operations in the chic Chiado district of Lisbon. You will engage with guests in Portuguese and English, handle inquiries, and contribute to creating a refined, memorable stay.

The ideal candidate has hospitality training, strong communication, and a proactive service mindset, with flexibility to work varied shifts in a luxury, family-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Degree or training in Hospitality/Tourism or equivalent experience.
• Fluent in Portuguese and English; excellent customer service skills.
• Professional appearance and attitude with a proactive approach.
• Good computer skills; knowledge of HOST (PMS) is an advantage.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; flexible to shifts.
• Ability to work in a Front Office environment and greet guests warmly.
• Strong team player with a sense of responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Represent the Martinhal brand in guest interactions at Front Office.
• Deliver exceptional service to ensure a memorable stay for guests.
• Assist guests with inquiries and help them maximise their experience.
• Collaborate with team to maintain smooth daily operations.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Degree or training in Hospitality/Tourism, or previous experience in 4- or 5-star hotels.
• Fluency in both Portuguese and English is essential.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Professional appearance and attitude.
• Good computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office; knowledge of HOST (PMS) is an advantage.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a proactive and responsible approach.
• Flexibility to work different shifts.
