Job summary

Quanteam, founding entity of RAINBOW PARTNERS, is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to lead test strategy and build robust test automation in a hybrid Porto-based role.

You will design and execute tests for web apps and REST APIs, collaborate with analysts, and integrate testing into CI/CD. English fluency (B2+) and experience with Java/Groovy and Cucumber/Gherkin are required.

We are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer

• Define the test strategy and improve the project's testing practices and processes.
• Collaborate with business analysts to define test scenarios, test cases, and acceptance criteria.
• Design, execute, maintain, and enhance manual and automated tests, including regression and non-regression testing.
• Develop and maintain automated tests.
• Perform web, REST API, database, and batch process testing, validating functionality and data integrity.
• Manage test cases, test execution, and defects, and integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Work collaboratively within an Agile environment, contributing to continuous improvement and supporting test automation development.
• Knowledge of Java and Groovy.
• Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks, particularly Cucumber/Gherkin and Katalon.
• Proficiency in JIRA and Xray.
• Experience using Git and Bitbucket.
• Knowledge of Jenkins and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience testing web applications and REST APIs.
• Proficiency in SQL.
• Ability to use command-line tools and execute, monitor, and validate batch processes.
• Understanding of test strategy definition, test design, test execution, regression testing, and continuous improvement of testing practices.
• Fluency in English - written and spoken (B2+).
• This role offers a gross annual salary between 28.000€ to 40.000€, defined according to the candidate’s experience and competencies.
