Quanteam, the founding entity of RAINBOW PARTNERS, is seeking a Business Analyst – Data & BI based in Porto. You will write SQL queries, profile raw data, and translate business needs into technical requirements across Data Engineering, BI and Analytics teams.

The role requires 3+ years of BA experience in Data/BI, strong SQL, and English (C1). Portuguese C1 is highly desirable, with French a plus; permanent contract and health insurance offered.

• Prepare clear functional and technical specifications, including source-to-target data mappings.
• Support business stakeholders in defining requirements based on the data available in existing systems.
• Design and execute functional and technical test plans, including data reconciliation and validation.
• At least 3 years of solid experience as a Business Analyst, ideally within Data or BI projects.
• English proficiency at C1 level is mandatory.
• Portuguese proficiency at C1 level is highly desirable.
• French proficiency at B2 level is a plus.

We are looking for a Business Analyst – Data & BI

• Write SQL queries to explore and analyze data within Oracle databases.
• Profile raw data to understand its structure, identify business rules, and detect anomalies.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering, BI, and Analytics teams to translate business needs into technical requirements.
• Prepare clear functional and technical specifications, including source-to-target data mappings.
• Support business stakeholders in defining requirements based on the data available in existing systems.
• Design and execute functional and technical test plans, including data reconciliation and validation.
• At least 3 years of solid experience as a Business Analyst, ideally within Data or BI projects.
• Strong SQL skills, including JOINs, subqueries, and analytical functions.
• Experience working with Oracle databases and tools such as SQL Developer, TOAD, DBeaver, or PL/SQL Developer.
• Ability to interpret data models, including tables, views, and primary and foreign keys.
• Basic understanding of Data Warehouse and Data Mart concepts.
• Experience documenting functional and technical requirements and supporting testing activities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously, collaborate across teams, and influence stakeholders.
• English proficiency at C1 level is mandatory.
• Portuguese proficiency at C1 level is highly desirable.
• French proficiency at B2 level is a plus.
• Position based in Porto.
• This role offers a gross annual salary between €24,500 and €38,500, defined according to the candidate’s experience and competencies.
