Job summary

Quanteam, founding entity of RAINBOW PARTNERS, seeks a Senior IT Release Manager in Lisbon to coordinate critical software releases for banking and financial services. You will plan releases, manage Git workflows, prepare deployment packages, and lead weekly release alignment meetings with stakeholders to ensure smooth production deployments.

With 9+ years in IT and expert Git knowledge, you will assess risks, resolve merge conflicts, and act as the main point of contact for external teams.

Qualifications

• 9+ years of IT experience with a strong release management background.
• Expert-level knowledge of Git architecture, branching strategies and repo management.
• Experience preparing release packages and coordinating production deployments.
• Practical knowledge of Jira and Agile delivery processes.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to lead meetings with stakeholders.
• Strong decision-making under pressure and risk management for production releases.

We are looking for a Senior IT Release Manager

• Plan and coordinate software releases, ensuring Jira tickets are aligned with delivery schedules and established release procedures.

• Act as the primary point of contact for external teams regarding release status, content, and technical specifications.
• Identify and resolve operational bottlenecks to improve release efficiency and reliability.
• More than 9 years of relevant experience in IT, with a strong background in release management, deployment coordination, or related technical roles.
• Mandatory expert-level knowledge of Git architecture, branching strategies, and repository management.
• Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex merge conflicts quickly and accurately.
• Experience preparing release packages and coordinating production deployment activities.
• Practical knowledge of Jira and Agile delivery processes.
• Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple release workflows simultaneously.
