Job summary

Quanteam, founding entity of Rainbow Partners, seeks a Quality Assurance Engineer to improve testing practices and define test strategies. You will design, execute and maintain manual and automated tests across web, REST API, DB and batch processes.

We require Java/Groovy, Cucumber/Gherkin, Katalon, and strong JIRA/Xray/Git experience in an Agile environment. Hybrid role in Lisbon/Porto with health insurance and ongoing learning opportunities.

• Familiar with Java and Groovy.
• Experience with Cucumber/Gherkin and Katalon.
• Proficient with JIRA and Xray; Git/Bitbucket; Jenkins and CI/CD.
• Experience testing web apps and REST APIs; SQL proficient.
• Ability to use CLI and monitor batch processes.
• Knowledge of test strategy, design, execution and regression testing.
• Fluent English (B2+).

We are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer

• Define the test strategy and improve the project's testing practices and processes.
• Collaborate with business analysts to define test scenarios, test cases, and acceptance criteria.
• Design, execute, maintain, and enhance manual and automated tests, including regression and non-regression testing.
• Develop and maintain automated tests.
• Perform web, REST API, database, and batch process testing, validating functionality and data integrity.
• Manage test cases, test execution, and defects, and integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Work collaboratively within an Agile environment, contributing to continuous improvement and supporting test automation development.
• Knowledge of Java and Groovy.
• Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks, particularly Cucumber/Gherkin and Katalon.
• Proficiency in JIRA and Xray.
• Experience using Git and Bitbucket.
• Knowledge of Jenkins and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience testing web applications and REST APIs.
• Proficiency in SQL.
• Ability to use command-line tools and execute, monitor, and validate batch processes.
• Understanding of test strategy definition, test design, test execution, regression testing, and continuous improvement of testing practices.
• Fluency in English - written and spoken (B2+).
• This role offers a gross annual salary between 28.000€ to 40.000€, defined according to the candidate’s experience and competencies.
