Job summary

Intercruises Shoreside & Port Services, a TUI-owned specialist in cruise ship handling, seeks a Port Delivery Agent in Funchal, Portugal to be the main contact for embarkation and debarkation operations. You will coordinate all operational activities, ensuring high service standards and guest satisfaction.

This hands-on role requires presence at the port, airport, and hotels on operational days, with early starts and irregular weeks, while collaborating with multiple departments to ensure smooth

• Knowledge of daily planning and operations in a holiday destination/cruise business.
• Confident decision maker with autonomy.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage all operational activities agreed with cruise clients, overseeing each stage from planning to delivery, delivering exceptional customer service through proactive problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Work closely with other departments involved in operations to ensure smooth and efficient delivery at all times.
• Be present at the port, airport, and hotels on operational days as the main point of contact for the ship, coordinating the work of all team members involved.
• Complete invoicing processes and data entry requirements accurately and within deadlines.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring reservations and operational updates are managed effectively.
• Keep constant contact, reserving, and updating providers accordingly.
• Liaise with ships and respective operations onboard teams to review, update and arrange all final details according to pre-approved itineraries.
• This is a dynamic, hands-on role that requires regular presence at the port/airport/hotels during operational days, early starts, and irregular week schedule.

Join our Operations & Delivery team as a Port Delivery Agent in Funchal, Portugal where you will be the main point of contact for the cruise line for embarkation and debarkation operations.

You will work as a team responsible for the preparation of the operation, ensuring a high standard and quality service to achieve the highest guest and client satisfaction.

Intercruises Shoreside & Port Services is a TUI owned specialist business providing cruise ship handling services to cruise lines in destinations throughout the world. You will be assisting cruise lines and other clients on their daily operations.

This is a locally employed position. You must have the right to work in Portugal and live close to the portin Funchal, Madeira, before applying.

ABOUT YOU

• You have knowledge, experience and understanding of daily planning and operations in a holiday destination and/or cruise business
• You are a confident decision maker, and like to work with autonomy
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English and Portuguese
• You have a pro-active guest service mindset with a clear focus on quality and efficiency
• You enjoy working in dynamic multicultural environments

• Hold a driving license and own car
